Long Road — Immigration in Alice Springs, NT
The Employer Sponsored Visa – TSS is a type of work visa which aims to fill jobs that are in short supply. Applicants must have the required training, job title, and skills the employer is looking for. There are both short and long-term visas depending on the job title and the needs of the employer. While applicants must meet the individual requirements set aside by the employers themselves, all applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a similar role in order to be accepted.

Information may include:

  • Job title, duty statement and responsibilities
  • Qualifications, essential skills,
  • Employment experience
  • Registrations/licences required to perform the position
Only nominations for a skilled occupation that has been approved by the Australian Government can be made. The list of eligible occupations is available on the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List. Some visa applicants are required to demonstrate that they have the skills and experience necessary to perform the nominated occupation. If your nominated occupation is a trade occupation the applicant may be required to undertake a skills assessment (depends on the trade and country of qualifications).

You may also be required to supply proof of such experience, such as former work contracts and similar documentation.
